Ahh easy one dude simply go to control panel then click "Regional And Language...." Change it all to United Kingdom. Then click the Languages tab then click details and then select United Kingdom as the Keyboard default && remove all the other United States stuff on the list.

Thanks man, I was starting to get paranoid ,anyway I have corrected this and now it works fine.

Maybe it is because of the bad contact, remove it and then connect it, and have a try.
