I recommend that you add a Q&A forum to your site through a service like Answerbase (www.answerbase.com) since it is better than a forum, its what most people on your site are probably needing (answers to their questions) and creates more relevant content.
Forums have a tendency to give you a very small group of steady users, that just banter back and forth about irrelevant topics not really valuable to the other visitors to your site.
Go with Answerbase.com where they have a bunch of really nice sites that they power Q&A for, and they bring all of that functionality to small sites for a very reasonable rate.
