Answer Question
is it possible to wireless connect to a printer from a vista laptop without a router, not bluetooth?
Impatient associate attempting to configure a new Dell Vista Laptop to a new all in one Dell printer with the appropriate additional network card installed. He has purchased a router which someone else previously installed because he was informed he needed it. The wireless laptop sees the wireless router, which is 6" from the wireless printer. Kind of a waste of wireless technology and money in regards to the printer connection, an ethernet cable would have been a better choice. Is it possible, and if so how, to configure the laptop to act independently of the router, removing it from the picture, and wirelessly communicate with the printer other than bluetooth?
