Experiencing problem with Outlook Express when iPad is used to access same email account
I am getting a 0x800ccc90 error message 'Your incoming (POP3) e-mail ... It is most of the time an invalid user/password information' after configuring a iPad to access the same email account. XP Laptop has SP3 installed and is running OE6. When the iPad is powered down email on the LT works fine. If I turn on the iPad and check email, OE kick out the 0x800ccc90 error code. If I power down the iPad OE starts working again. Customer is using Time Warner Cable.
I have another customer experiencing similar problems with her XP desktop and iPad. In this case, OE and iPad worked just fine until SP3 was installed on XP DT. Now getting the same 0x800ccc90 error code on the DT. Physically turning off the iPad does NOT resolve the OE problem. As I mentioned, everything co-existed quite well before XP SP3. I have confirmed that correct user name and password are used on OE. I can log into web mail with the same credentials as OE.
Is there possibly a conflict btw XP SP3, OE and iPad?
