I have a HP laserjet 4000 printer and then i have two office computers set up to it. One is set up by USB and one is wireless. We bought a new usb but that didnt fix it. We had a tech come out from where we bought the printer and he said the printer and the chord are fine, so i am wondering what i need to do with the computers to get business back up. I have an HP Pavilion dv4 and due to my laptop being too hot and my fan ronning always at a constant low speed I have downloaded a program that should control it but with it I have found out that the fan doesn't whant to comunicate with the computer but beceuse the program can show me the computers internal temperature, I have now a manual small fan next to it so I can use the computer.
I have two operating systems on this laptop (windows 7, and Ubuntu), they aren't runing together but each one on it's own, but both can't control the fan.
I would like to know what can be the problem and how can I fix it, but untill then I will keep running Ubuntu because it doesn't need so much power.

I bought a HP Laserjet Professional P1102w, and had previously installed it on my computer and it worked fine at first, then it stopped printing and the status just said error printing. that happened twice, and now it has stopped working again. I am trying to reinstall my printer to my laptop, but everytime that it is almost done, an alert pops up saying that the printer was able to connect to the wireless network, but my computer cannot communicate with my printer? i dont know what to do and could really use some help with this! i did try just starting over, but the same alert came up every time. OK So I have a laptop about year or so old It running Vista. I haven't tried before to set up a printer with but now need too, I brought a cheap HP but couldn't get it to print so I took it back and upgraded to a Canon Pixma MP560 connected via usb and can't get this one to print either. I've called Canon and all they can suggest is I uninstall the printer, disable my anti virus software(Norton) and reinstall. Before I do this is there anything else that I can try. The computer says it recognises the printer but it just wont print a document either from word or excel.

I have a fios home wireless network with three computers accessing the fios router. I have a desktop computer with a usb wired hp 5650 printer attached. The desktop connects to the internet via a small wireless adaptor. This original setup works great. I can surf and print fine.

I have a HP Pavilion zd8000 with Windows XP and recently it has been running slower than ever. We had found a few trojans on it previously and thought we had it taken care of (they were removed). We installed Norton Anti-Virus and it hasn't found anything yet but it has taken 4+ hours and is still scanning. Opening any programs takes at least 5+ minutes and the fan is always running. Even idle it runs at full speed.

Please let me know if there is any other details I can provide to help make solving this easier.

Hello Sir,

I purcahsed a laptop compaq presario CQ45-207TU in January 2009. As per the recommendations of HP I updated BIOS. Soon after that i encountered problem with regard to the high spped of fan and heating up of my touchpad and base of laptop where the hard drive is. The problem was shared with my friend who somewhat managed to slowup the speed of the fan with the updated BIOS but the heating problem remained. The BIOS updated was F.24 but recently i downgraded it to F.14. As a result of that the fan speed slowed down but not that normal as factory set. The heating of touchpad has also reduced but sometimes the RAM usage remains between 60-70% for a long period. My question are:
Is there any effect of downgarding of BIOS as i did; because exactly I dont know when my set was manufactuerd and what version of BIOS was in there in laptop.
What should be the exact BIOS for my set?
Is the heating of touch pad and fast speed of fan is a matter of worry?
Can it damage my laptop?

My laptop serial No. is SN:(S)CND8392JDD(estimated to be manufactured between september to november 2008)but not sure.

My HP PSC1210 was working fine until it all of a sudden quit and gave me a "paper jam" error. I removed the access cover and found NO jam or any other problem. Restarted the printer...the error would not clear. I finally had to uninstall and reinstall the printer to clear message. Wlould not print test page or any other print job. Print job just displayed in que and message in printer info window showed "printing" but nothing was printing. When I tried to cancel documents the message would change to deleting, but wouldn't clear que. I would have to restart computer to clear the message. The HP web site was useless when I looked for drivers to reinstall all it said was to use the built in drivers in Vista.

I purchased comapq Laptop CQ45-207TU on 1-7-2009. As per the recommendations of HP I updated the BIOS. After the BIOS were updated I started having problem regarding fan speed. It started running very fast and the touch pad started getting hetaed very much.One of my friend somehow managed to control the speed of the fan without disturbing the BIOS(F.24) but not to that mark as of factory setting. Recently i downgraded the BIOS to F.14. As a result the fan speed became slow(not that as of factory setup. The touch pad heat also reduced 30% but sometimes the RAM usage constantly remains between 50 to 60% and the fan makes much noise
My question is:
What was the BIOS original version of my laptop?
How can the speed of the fan can turn to normal?
Since I dont know when my set was manufactured the only thing which i traced out on the packaging cover of my laptop was one date as 3-9-2008(might be shipping date or someting else). I really need your support and proper guidelines

I recently replace an old desktop system with a new Dell. Everything is working OK except one little issue. When I open an existing Word doc it messes the page. What it does is it moves the last two lines on the first page of the document to page 2 which messes all other pages. Now there are 4 other workstaions that are using the same exact Version of MS office 2002 and they all doing fine. The old system alos works fine. I installed MS office 2007 and it did the same thing. If I put the old system back, it works fine. The files are located on a HP server (OS 2003). I even emailed the file and tried to open it from the email, it did the same thing.

I installed MS office 2002 on my laptop and opened the Doc and it worked just fine.
It seems to be this new Dell that is causing that. Now I am not sure what else to try. Can you Help please. My email is James@cnc2net.com & JBoroujerdi@yahoo.com.
