* Split logic, structure, presentation and behavior e.g.: your server pages to XML, XSL for structure, CSS files and JS files * Use different CSS style files for every browser, specify exact values with units, avoid leaving attributes to default or browser interpretation * Stick to standards http://w3.org * Never use MS stuff for layout. javascript_browser_detection: http://techpatterns.com/downloads/javasc... http://www.devarticles.com/c/a/Web-Style... http://www.devarticles.com/c/a/Web-Style... CSS: Mozilla CSS : http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Moz... MSIE CSS: http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/autho... JS: Mozilla DOM: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Gec... Xarcus, when he's using ASP.NET it's difficult to avoid MS stuff for layout, since that's part of the framework. The browser compatibility issue was worse with ASP.NET 1.1, but in ASP.NET 2.0 things have been corrected. Here's a good list of things to do to avoid/minimize problems: http://forums.asp.net/thread/1334949.asp... Here's a link to how to get 1.1 not to downgrade the html, if the user hasn't got an IE browser: http://weblogs.asp.net/fmarguerie/archiv...

Gotta love that Firefox winning formula. See what Opera does...then do exactly that. For a moment I thought Firefox was innovating with its "awesome bar" and even read several books on this problem ( http://www.ebook-search-queen.com/ ) But upon inspection, I found that typing "awesome bar" in opera displays...this page.
