Chances are that your file is a pornographic movie renamed to "The Invasion" There are programs that can decode your file, but I risk sounding like a crapware peddler naming any of them. Sorry, but the best answer I have for you is to delete your file and try downloading a different version.

thanks oracle, however my concern is to get an alternate solution for divocodec..
as for example we have 3wplayerconverter to convert the file which needs 3wplayer to play the movie.
there has to be a program which would help us to get rid of divocodec..any idea??

the program that worked for me was something from wildman productions. it was a little app downloaded from http://wildman-productions.org/ (I have nothing to do with the site, nor am I trying to endorse it)
anyway, I'm not sure if it was the binary or the installer (nothing to install really, it's just an exe file) but the links were swapped last time, anyway, one of the two links contains a rar file which has a very simple executable that decompresses 3w files into their playable counterparts.
Since the divo codec isn't a codec at all, you want to remove it just as any other app. since it is a piece of $#%! malware ridden application, our friends at symantec have documented it's removal
http://www.symantec.com/en/uk/norton/sec...
hope this helps

3wPlayer is a rogue media player software application bundled with trojans that can infect computers. It is designed to exploit users who download video files, instructing them to download and install the program in order to view the video. The 3wPlayer employs a form of social engineering to infect computers. Seemingly desirable video files, such as recent movies, are released via BitTorrent. These files resemble conventional AVI files, but are engineered to display a message when played on most media player programs, instructing the user to visit the 3wPlayer website and download the software to view the video. The program is bundled with malware that has various.
you can try to use this program to covert the movie file http://wildman-productions.org/
good luck

Yep you are totally correct. The webiste that the intro to the movie displays, requests you to download devocodec and then unpacks trojans to your system. Dont do it! Ignore anything requesting devocodec, delete your torrent and put it down to experience.

I first went to the link: http://wildman-productions.org/
I downloaded the link: 3wdecoder installer. But it did not work. Said that application is missing required files.
So I downloaded from the link: 3wdecoder binary
I ran the software 3wdecoder and it asked the file name of 'avi' to be converted and the new file name. I entered the details and pressed Convert button. The new file worked fine on my VLC Player and Media Player.
Try this process, if it still doesn't work then try getting .NET Framework 2.0+ and try it again.
Hope your problem gets solved.

Even the wild-man productions is a fraud. Better delete the .avi file and start downloading freshly.

wildmen is no good just another fraud. Torrents are out anyway to dirty you guys need to get in to nzbs its a litte more complicated and it costs like twelve dollars a mounth unless you have an isp with a really good nws server but its clean and easy and 100 times faster no share ratios no waiting four days for a download and no dirt. try nzbsrus and shame on all the deushes on here for soliciting bunk shit.
