Free hosting:
If youwant to create a html web site, you can try googlepages.com
Is a Google clean service.
But try don´t use the templates.
Some people, even host flash sites there, but I don´t Know how, at this moment.
Miarroba.com & Topcities.com is great, but includes advertisement.

I don't want free hosting. I am looking for Virtual Private Hosting, or Virtual Dedicated Servers, or whatever they're called. I don't think anyone would offer those for free.

I only know you can try, if fon´t works, then search dedicated servers, but... if it works? If you want a .com maybe you are right, but, if you only want hosting for html pages I recommend you try.
Best,
Héctor

When Google failed? I don´t remember
If you want e-mail accounts Gmail provide more feautures than all the vps.
Googlepages is a Google service.
The difference, the dot com, but maybe a company give the dot com even if you don´t want its hosting service, then, maybe you can mix the best of vps and the best of the free services.

Look, I thank you for trying to help, but free services is not what I'm looking for.
A VPS comes with access to the server as if it was a full dedicated server, which means that I can install and use any program/service I want and I can monitor it much more closely than my normal shared hosting. I'm not using it for the amount of email addresses or the webmail they can offer, it's to get better performance.
