T-SQL: calling a stored procedure from within a stored procedure?

I'm programming some stored procedures on an MS SQL Server 2000 (T-SQL).
I want to call a stored procedure (A) from within a stored procedure (B) and then do a select on the result from A, before returning it as the result of B.
I'm doing this in order to reuse A instead of duplicating it and adding the other criteria, but I can't figure out how to get it to work.
Can anybody help with this?

there is this tutorial here that may help you - it tackles using the result set one one stored procedure in another. http://www.sommarskog.se/share_data.html

The key to having values returned to a procedure that calls another procedure is to append the word 'output' to the variables in both the exec statement of the calling procedure, and the parameter declaration section of the called procedure

thanks, looks like that was what I needed. I don't remember how I got around the problem then, but you'll get points for this anyway.
