Well, that's a bit a very generic question. It depends from which side you are looking at this? From a developers side? From a users side? From a deployment side? The user doesn't feel any difference since the differences are in the development area. There are new language features which provide different functionality to the developer.
It is a bit like asking "What is the difference between a TV set built in the 90ies and one built 2006?" The new features provide a better quality but the functionality is still the same.
