Hi, you could try from download.cnet.com. It is really good and simple to use but if you get stuck I have wrote a full tutorial on how to use it here:

The software is free, just click the download now link on their website. When you first install it, it will give you a trial of the paid version. To get the free version after you have installed it, go to the control panel and click Uninstall/change. You will then get an option to downgrade to the free version. After that you can still use almost all the features including cut, join, fade etc
And yes it will keep the original quality. Check the bit rate of the original track, then when saving choose the same bit rate.
