Only times I have seen people change email addresses is due to change of ISP or location, evaluating a new webmail service or discovery of a better webmail service.
I would say that some people have different email addresses for different reasons so its hard to put stats on this.
I myself have a number of email addresses, two used for personal, some used for online competitions, one used for forums etc. I never give out my personal one except to my friends and family as u dont want to be indundated with spam :)
Im sure there are people who buy domains and just use that as their email address. In that case they would never really change it officially, if you know what I mean.
I think your question is quite hard to answer because each person varies, I would say most would be content with their current provider and probably change every few years, if they do change. All newbies to internet would probably keep changing their email addresses initially. All fun and games to them as they are discovering new names and new services. Over time, they would settle down, learn the internet way and use just a handful.

Odd question, but relevant to my purposes.

A quick search on google
this site says people change every few months http://www.mailchimp.com/resources/em...
Im afraid I cant really answer your question exactly. My first post was based on my experiences.
Good luck with finding an answer to this.
It might be worth, if not already done so, posting in other forums like yahoo answers, experts-exchange, windowsitpro forums, etc
