Good web monitoring applications?
I'm looking for a web monitoring application to check the status of my websites, like uptime, response time etc.
I've had a look at pingdom.com and it looks pretty good, but I would like to know about experiences with it or other alternatives.

Thanks, Arun. The service looks very much like what I need.
But I got confused when you wrote it was free and then I read "Low total cost of ownership, because you pay according to the usage".
In the FAQ it states that it's free while in Beta, but afterwards there will be a free and a commercial solution.
I'll try it out...
Btw, do you know the pingdom.com I was referring to?

Site24x7 is coming out with a commercial version soon. For the moment, they are a free service.
Yes, I know pingdom. They have a basic website monitoring service which is good.

There is a great number of different services such as site24z7 Monitor.us Pingdom but I prefer to use dotcom-monitor.com, It is smart and has a lot of features. I have been using it for two years and I have no any complaint.
