How can I clean a hard drive to install as a 2nd one in my computer?
I have a used hard drive that is compatable with my computer. I can put it in as the main drive and it comes up with the information from the old computer. I would like to clean it and use it as drive 1 the second drive. I have windows XP. How do I do this?

Your current drive (not the used one u have), does that have windows installed?
If so then boot from that, make your used one the slave.
then u should see that as a drive, perhaps D or E.
u can format it then reinstall windows on it (by shutting down your PC and making it into a master)
OR
if u can reinstall windows and tell it to format the disk when u install.
to be safe, u can remove the original hard disk so u dont lose anything on there
