hey softkee, I saw your post on another question. Describe your internet setup. From your other post you mentioned that you have COX DSL, are you connected directly to your modem (Ethernet/LAN cable or wireless) or do you have a router in between? what software do you have on your machine in terms of firewall/antivirus? Norton internet security? McAfee? ZoneAlarm? and is the internet only slow, or are all programs slow.
lastly, open the start menu, select run, type in CMD and press enter. in the black window that pops up, type in "ping /n 20 yahoo.com" without the quotes and copy and paste the response to us. you should see something like this:

Reply from 66.94.234.13: bytes=32 time=53ms TTL=51
....

There are many reasons for your internet connection slow, such as your browser and windows system are not compatible, maybe you can try a pc cleaning software to handle your problem, try tuneup360, I'm sure it can surprise you!
