restart your computer using the recovery console (using a windows XP disk or another boot disk that can read NTFS and can run the cmd prompt window) and run chkdsk /f. If you are using the windows XP recovery console, use chkdsk /p instead of chkdsk /f.
you have a corrupt registry. this is NOT caused by spyware, it's caused by a physical failure such as a scratched hard drive or abrupt power off.

urm, problem with that link is it should of been instaled in the first place!
Can you boot from CD? I know you said you had problems there as well. If so, see if you can go into the recovery console that way. You need to hit R (repair or recover one of them). You will need to know the administrator password also. To see commands, just type help at the prompt. Try chkdsk like oracle said.

after you've run chkdsk, you should be able to at least enter safe mode. if you blue screen going into normal mode but not safe mode, you've got either a driver problem (probably your video card) or some rogue program conflicting with DEP (especially if you're using Vista).
remove any newly installed programs or hardware and try booting into normal mode again.

Mostly this is the sign of recent virus attack. Try re-installing your windows or it might be SATA HDDS problem

It seems your computer can be faster if you clean registry, so I try the tuneup360. It is not free, but it will give a free license if I agree to do a customer survey. I do feel my computer runs faster after that. Do you guys have any recommendation?
