how do I change what programs are starting when I turn on my computer?

When I start my computer, there are some programs that automatically start up and launch. How can I change those settings?

If you download this program from microsoft it will show you all programs that startup even ones that are set in the registry. Full usage is explained on this page as well as the download:-

Hey Ashley,

I actually found that I just needed to do the following:

1) Click on the Start Menu
2) Select "Run"
3) Enter "MSConfig" and click "OK"
4) Click on the startup Tab and deselect any programs that I dont want to start

That did the trick.

Trust me the Autoruns program by sysinternals is a lot more indpeth
