ok, your system may be clean of viruses, but have you checked for spyware? maybe download a copy of spybot search and destroy from here http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mi... and do a full system scan with that , also if you have any tool bars installed i would suggest uninstalling them even yahoo/google tool bars i find that they just get in the way/slow things down. also clear your browser cache if it hasn't been cleared already,
go tools>internet options> and under the "general" tab under the temporary internet files category click the delete cookies button
also click the delete files button, after clicking the delete files button check the "delete all offline content" checkbox then click ok.
also under the content tab in the same window click "clear ssl state" button
then go into the advance tab and click the restore defaults button.
if after all of this your IE6 is still going slow...let me know
