Thanks for your response. I tried to look it up in Google's own documentation and found that they write it explicitly here: https://www.google.com/adsense/suppor...
"Currently, AdSense publishers may place up to three ad units on one webpage."
And here (https://www.google.com/adsense/suppor...) it says:
"you may place up to three link units on a page, in addition to the three standard ad units and two search boxes you're permitted to display"

The things have changed now I believe.
The limit is 30 now, If I am not wrong.
