Microsoft Word 2007 cant edit the document.clicking results in cursor back to the beginning ?why?
I opened a Word Document and wanted to add some information to it. There is a table in the document that I can edit but when I try and edit outside of this table the cursor will return to the beginning of the first page. I have tried to copy some text from another word document and paste it into my current document but it won't paste. I can't highlight any text either to move the current information out.
Also, any options under the Insert, View, Page Layout, etc. menus I also cannot click on. The document protection is set to "unrestricted" and I thought that would fix it.

Formatting and Editing Restrictions are probably turned on. Try this: Open the doc and click the Review tab. Then click the Protect Document button and choose Restrict Formatting and Editing. A sidebar should pop up on the right side of the screen and at the bottom of it, you should be able to click a Stop Protection button.
