I must have punched a key by acident because I canot type double leters or backspace more than once

when i punch a key it makes a sound that it didn't make before. please help

Maybe you have press the Shift key for 8 seconds which activates the Filter keys. You can press the Shift key again for 8 seconds to disable it.
