r u saying it always boots in safe mode or what? if u hit F8 (usually) or F12 depending on what PC you have (might also be a shift involved) on boot up then it should take you to advanced options menu where you can select different types of startups.

i may have corrupted the NVIDIA card.have tried everything from selective start up to system restore, all to no avail.so next time i install a game with that much(dual core,512mg gpu v/card mem) i might take more notice and when such a game can tell me before i install, that will be even better.
