My @ symbol on my dell laptop comes up as the " symbol and vice versa?? does any1 know how to fix??

the @ button and " are the wrong way around

It sounds like your keyboard region got changed, follow these steps to change back to your region....

Control Panel ► Regional & Languages ► On the first page at the top change the drop down to (YOURLANGUAGE) ► At the bottom change the Location to (YOUR LOCATION) ► Advanced ► Change that drop down to {YOUR LANGUAGE(YOUR LOCATION)} ► Apply and OK

I believe you are in the UK and your keyboard got changed to American, so that would be the setting you need.
