Do you not have a system restore disk that comes with your laptop? that should help u get your factory settings back.
What model IBM laptop do u have? Your laptop should have a blue "Access IBM" button on it. Press that and see the help on there, u may find something that helps u out

i didnt get a recovery cd when i bought the laptop and when oi formmated the laptop every thing including the recovery partition

IBM hardware taken over by Lenovo now. Im wondering whether its worth you contacting their support and see if its available as a download from their website.
