replaced hard drive now can't get online. This computer has a ethercard. Works off desktop
had harddrive replaced now can't find my settings or get online. Do I need my startup disk. I had my data downloaded on my maxtor and transferred that to laptop. This is a secondary computer. I have Cox high speed service and have a modem and router but can't get online. Any suggestions?

Would need more information to troubleshoot this butttttt if you just replaced the hard drive and that is it then you don't have an Operating System installed. First you would need to install the OS and then the next big thing is installing the drivers for your computer. Most computers come with this dis and it is labeled. If you are missing the cd you can most likely go to the manufactures website and select your model and download the drivers to a cd.
