can i use a wireless printer with a laptop that is not connected to a wireless router?
We have a laptop with wireless network capabilities but do not have it connected to a wireless router. laptop is plugged in through digital cable modem for internet. can i connect a wireless printer to the laptop without going through a router?

If you are connected to the same network as the printer, physically or wirelessly, then you should be able to use the printer. If you're on a different network, or going directly through your modem with the laptop, then no, you won't be able to.

Thanks the author, very useful advice. my pc's internet connection is very slow, which always drive me crazy, I want a program to solve my slow computer, several days ago my friend recommend me a software tuneup360, now I'm waiting for the result.

You have to setup the printer to the same network of the pc or netbook (in wireless). This way it can print.
