Answer Question
RTHDCPL.EXE illegal system dll relocation error in windows on startup?
I get this error "RTHDCPL.EXE illegal system dll relocation" with the following description:
the system dll user32.dll was relocated in memory. the application will not run properly. the relocation occurred because the dll c:\windows\system32\hhctlr.ocx occupied an address range reserved for windows system dlls. the vendor supplying the dll should be contacted for a new dll.
I have not installed anything new on my computer (windows xp prof) and the only thing that has happened has been automatic updates from microsoft.
And now this error pops up every time I turn on the computer, although it doesn't apparently affect anything i would like to solve the problem.
Anybody experienced something similar or know how to solve it?
