Answer Question
How do I disable "A jack has been plugged in" notification?
Every time I plug in a jack, a notification bubble pops up, saying "A jack has been plugged in".
When I unplug the jack, guest what?! I get a popup saying "A jack has been unplugged".
This is bothering me immensely since it takes away my attention from what I was doing, and it doesn't disappear before I've clicked on or around it.
I've searched for and found many pages describing similar problems and some of them talk about the "connection sensing" tab and unchecking "Auto sense when connecting status is changed". This information seems to be related to another version of the software, running on Windows XP.
Alas, I don't have that tab. I am running Windows Vista, and it appears to be the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" that is bugging me.
Thanks,
jakob
