Many hd cam output format MTS,but if you want to play it on windows and mac than you need to convert it MOV or other format.You can search in google for free converter if you want to use personally either buy any good converter for use proffessionally. hope i helped you.

Convert MTS files to MOV file, even other popular video formats, you should use MTS converter tool, and Leawo MTS/M2TS Converter is the one as I know that's doing well, it's well known among users.

Hi JonaBunge, my Sony camcorder also record MTS file, and to play on my MAC, I also need to convert mts to mov, I use a video converter to do this, I love it, easy to use.
