In javascript how do I check which of a group of radiobuttons is checked?

this is the radiobutton group:

I tried with:
var time_limit = document.getElementById("time_limit[]");
if (time_limit[1].checked)
...
and with
if (time_limit.value == "yes")

but none of these work

David... Give this a shot - it works in both IE6 and FF, so it shouldn't give you any issues cross browser...with the possible exception of Safari.
