check your settings on your browser. What browser are you using? for example in IE, go to Tools/Internet Options and click on Connections tabs. If at home, I doubt you have a proxy so click on Lan Connections - are they any boxes checked? uncheck them
If dialup, check your connection is configured properly - shout if you need help
you could also have ISP problems, though it happens, it doesnt usually stay around that long
do you have a problem with every single web site?

Hi,lisa
This is due to some malware attack or internet connection problem.First check your modem whether it is working or not ,after checking the modem check the cables of the modem to PC if every thing is fine then check your system for malware attack and try to rectifi it.And after doing that check your internet speed ,because if the dowload speed is lesser than upload speed then you may have some problem like this you can check your download and upload speed in the site ScanmySpeed.com.
