Have you tried restoring your computer to the last time your remember being able to access your mail?
If your mail is on a server have you tried deleting your outlook profile from the computer and reinstalling it?

I found out that the issue wasn't as complicated as I thought.
I had changed the folder for my email to another location, but for some reason it had switched back to the original outlook default location. So while I was repairing the pst file i thought was the bad one, actually it was loading the file from another location and obviously my repairs didnt have any effect at all.
Although your answer didn't really give the solution, i'll hand you some points anyway for taking time to respond to this.

"Cannot display the folder" error displayed by MS Outlook suggests that the Outlook personal folder items have been corrupted or say damaged for any reason and this is what makes it all difficult to have access to items stored within, owing to which critical errors are displayed. You can try running scanpst.exe utility as this would help resolve the error, but failure of the utility to work makes it important for you to look for and use Outlook PST Repair Software.
