Have u tried connecting directly to the printer to see if you can print? This way it ensures you have the right drivers. If you dont then try going here http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/s... and click on start detection so it finds your printer or enter product.
When u go into control panel and do add printer, does it find it?

I can connect directly via usb and print; just can't wireless.

Ive been looking at hp support forums and there are a few things to try
firstly check your security s/w. Check the firewall allows for the spooler to run then try some more suggestions listed here
