1. Log onto a computer that can link to the Internet. Download Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.c... for Windows XP, Vista, 2003, 2000, 2008 and decompress it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD.
2.Get out the newly created CD and insert it to the locked computer. IT IS SHAREWARE.
3.Re-boot the locked computer and then follow the process of instructions. Just after a few steps, the old password will be removed.
4.Set new password:
Step 1: Open the "Control Panel
Step 2: Click the "User Account
Step 3: Select the account you wanna set a new password.
Step 4: Click "Changing Account " and "Set Up Password", then fill out the form as listed. Click "Create Password".

Do you have created the password reset disk ?
If you do, you can sign into safe mode and recover the password.
If you don’t have the windows password recovery disk. you have to take use of the third part utility, you can download it from http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com and the website will show how to recover windows password.

Use toshiba reboot CD/DVD if you have one, else you need a third party software to help you recover the password. I use Windows Password Recovery Basic. It is easy to use.

If you've forgotten your Windows password and you're on a domain, you should contact your system administrator to reset your password. If you're not on a domain, you can reset your password by using a password reset disk or by using an administrator account.
If you forget the administrator password and don't have a password reset disk or another administrator account, you won't be able to reset the password. If there are no other user accounts on the computer, you won't be able to log on to Windows and will need to re-install Windows.

Just set a logon password to protect your laptop,the method is so easy,just do it by the following steps one by one:
Step 1 From the Start menu, click on "Control Panel".
Step 2 Click on the "user account".

If you lost windows password, you can go into safe mode (F8 when booting up) to recover windows password while you forgot user account password,but if you forgot administrator password,there is no way to change administrator password while you forgot it,you must use software to recover administrator password.my favorite is Windows Password Recovery 9.0.http://www.windows-password-recovery.com

Just a few days ago, I lost my windows vista admin passwords. I solved the trouble with the help of Windows Password Seeker. I just want to say that WIndows password is not safe, some tools can remove it easily such as Windows Password Rescuer.
But you can just use it to recover your lost/forgot password.
If your system is Windows 7/vista/xp,you can use "Windows Password Rescuer Personal/Professional'.

I know an easy solution to recover lost windows password, only need to create a bootable disk or USB flash drive to reset forgotten windows password, I have made a bootable Dvd with the tool Windows Password Seeker and reset my administrator password successfully.
